Naked Chameleon

The LG KE850 is a bit of a mystery, apparently it has won an award from the International Forum Design team, but other than the pictures after the jump, little else is known about the phone. It appears to be a touchscreen, and it certainly looks nice, but other than that, who knows.

It's a bit on the old side, but the iPhone was announced last week, and it shocked everyone by not being from Apple as expected, but from Cisco. Not only that, but it's not a Mobile phone, but a VOIP solution. It seems that the trademark for the iPhone brand has been held by Cisco for a while, it's funny that nobody mentioned that earlier.

Digital Photography Review has an in depth review of the new K10D from Pentax. As the name suggests the K10D is a 10mp digital SLR mean to compete with the likes of the Canon EOS 30D and Nikon D200.

The SGH-P310 is another in Samsung's line of "Business card" phones, not much bigger than a business card, the phone managed to squeeze in Bluetooth, a MicroSD slot, and a 2mp camera.

LG has a new Shuffle like Mp3 player coming out, the UP3flat. It is reported to be about the size of a chocolate bar, which I hope is not the truth, as that would make it fairly large for a player with no screen. The player uses the same touch sensitive buttons as the LG chocolate phones, and features a cool slide out USB port so you don't need a cable to connect it to your computer.

HTC has another amazing phone on their hands with the Athena. It looks to be a very stylish stainless like package, it will come with a "removable" keyboard, whatever that means, sounds like more to break. I look forward to checking this one out.

The Neo 808i measures 65mm x 40mm x 13mm and weighs 90 grams, I actually had to take out a tape measure to see how small that is, and it's damn small!! Even though it is small enough that I could actually swallow it, it still managed to cram a 1.3 Megapixel camera, 128 MB memory, and even a Micro SD card slot for all your Mp3s and videos, and Bluetooth as well. The Neo 808i is due out March 2007.

The Arena Chrono Quattro Retro from Gerald Gent is part of a line of what he calls "wristboards", dashboards for the wrist. They are very interesting looking, and at $25,000, I should probably think about buying a car first...

I have never given it much thought, but I think all websites should have a mascot, and this just might be mine! It is a USB powered Chameleon that sits on your monitor, flicks out it's tongue, and rolls it's eyes. The least they could have done is added some hip gyrations or something.

Samsung is set to continue their thin line of handsets with the V9500, it is only 11.9 mm thick, features a 2mp camera, microSD slot, and a "glass fiber casing to achieve an unique look" which I can only imagine is something like the flip on the Motorola A1200 which is marketed with a similar line.
