Now if I haven't mentioned it before, I'm sure I meant to, I am getting really sick of products adding a small i to the front of their name and calling themselves cool. The iBump is one of those products, but it is a cool idea. They are basically small pieces of plastic that you put on the corners of your device and it helps alleviate scratching. I can see this helping if you only place your gadget on tables, but for those of us who throw stuff in a pocket, I don't think the bumps will help much.
LG has a new Shuffle like Mp3 player coming out, the UP3flat. It is reported to be about the size of a chocolate bar, which I hope is not the truth, as that would make it fairly large for a player with no screen. The player uses the same touch sensitive buttons as the LG chocolate phones, and features a cool slide out USB port so you don't need a cable to connect it to your computer.
Toshiba has announced a bump in the small hard drive category, pushing their 1.8" hard drive to 100GB, this of course is the hard drive used in the iPod, so it opens the door for a 100GB iPod, or maybe a 100GB video iPod. My dream would of course to have this be slotted into the rumoured iPhone!
I know what you are thinking, "wait, every car stereo out there has iPod integration already" but this seems to be a bit on the different side, it seems that Alpine has been meeting with the turtlenecked fruit god himself, Steve Jobs to work on an iPod interface for their upcoming car stereos. Having used the Pioneer iPod integration, I can say from experience that the current crop of iPod integration sucks, its clunky, oddly done, and just plain sad.
