Cowon has released details on their new Q5, and wow!! It sports a 5" screen, contains an AMD Alchemy 500MHz CPU, and is using Windows Professional 5.0 as an OS. Amazingly, they managed to squeeze a T-DMB tuner for portable TV, WiFi connectivity, electronic dictionary, Office file viewer, a TV recorder, USB connectivity, FM radio, and to top it all off, GPS navigation! It will have a claimed battery life of 13 hours of music playback, and 6 hours of video playback, so even if it is 75% of that, it will be pretty impressive. The Q5 will be available in two sizes, 40 and 60GB versions, no pricing was announced, hopefully it wont be too much, I want one.

Looks like Archos is adding another file format to its line of PMPs, but this time it comes with a price, you will be required to purchase the upgrade for $25 US. My guess is that the licensing fee is more than the figured, and are passing the cost onto the comsumer, with the a built in file support already pretty good, I don't really see the need, I wonder how long before someone figures a way to hack this?
