It looks like Dell has added a new large widescreen monitor to their lineup, along with the upcoming 24" with the webcam built in. It is actually pretty hard to find on their site, you have to search for the model number, it doesn't come up when click on the 20" and larger section. The E248WFP is basically a stripped down version of the old 24 incher, only DVI input with this one, and no USB hub or Memory card. I like this idea, I have the old version which I love, but I never use the USB ports or the card reader, so this would be good for me, hmmm, ...maybe I will add a second monitor to my desk!!

Looks like the Folks over at All About Symbian have a bit of a crush, and it happens to be on the new Nokia N95 8GB, it improves on the regular N95 with increased Battery life, increased ram built in, and of course 8GB included (at the loss of the MicroSD card). As a previous owner of an N95 the increase in battery life is extremely welcome, with marginal use, a couple hours of Mp3s a day, minimal texting and a couple calls, I was getting less than a day of use.
Seems that the folks at samsung have something new up their sleeves, and it will include built in GPS! The i550 is based on Symbian OS S60, has a 2.6" display which should help when using the Phone in the car. The i550 will reportadly nclude quick access keys, microUSB connectivity, a microSD memory card slot, 128MB RAM, HSDPA (no word on what bands ) and a 3.2 megapixel camera. No word on pricing or availability yet. One interesting thing I noticed from the pic is that it appears that the phone has a roller ball similar to the "pearl" in recent Blackberries...
I got an invite last night to the Beta of Joost, a new streaming program that allows you to watch TV from your PC, so far it looks pretty cool, they have some clips from the car show Fifth Gear, and some music clips from Much music. If anyone wants an invite let me know in the comments below, I will send you one.

Cowon has released details on their new Q5, and wow!! It sports a 5" screen, contains an AMD Alchemy 500MHz CPU, and is using Windows Professional 5.0 as an OS. Amazingly, they managed to squeeze a T-DMB tuner for portable TV, WiFi connectivity, electronic dictionary, Office file viewer, a TV recorder, USB connectivity, FM radio, and to top it all off, GPS navigation! It will have a claimed battery life of 13 hours of music playback, and 6 hours of video playback, so even if it is 75% of that, it will be pretty impressive. The Q5 will be available in two sizes, 40 and 60GB versions, no pricing was announced, hopefully it wont be too much, I want one.

Well, we got talking about weird alarm clocks at work today, so I decided I would kind of do a round up of the ones I can find, so there will be a bunch here in a row, bare with me if alarm clocks bore you...

The Puzzle alarm clock goes with the idea that making you use logic combined with rooting around on your hands and knees will wake you up. When the alarm goes off, four puzzle pieces are ejected from the top of the clock, and you are required to put them back in for it to shut off. Knowing my luck the cat would probably run off with one and I would have to resort to the other way to turn it off... a big hammer.
well the Sonic Bomb SBB500ss alarm clock is intended for the hard of hearing, but it also seems that there are a lot of other people out there having trouble pouring themselves out of bed in the morning, and this might just do the trick! The SBB500ss has an eardrum shattering 113db alarm, as well as a "Powerful 12V bed shaker" to shake you right out of bed.
Well this is not all that new, I forgot to mention it before, the DangerBomb alarm clock requires you to connect the wires in order to wake you up. I have heard that performing manual tasks will help you wake up, but setting up the bomb? that's just a bit silly.
Nokia has released their GPS mapping program, Smart2go, for Symbian S60 devices for free on their website. As it happens I have just purchased an S60 device, the N73, and I am installing this software as I type.
Samsung has one sexy phone in the new F700, it is a slider with a qwerty keyboard, and features 7.2 Mbps HSDPA for crazy high speed downloads. The F700 has a Flash based interface, so you know it will be great to play around with. It also has a great tactile feature that vibrates when you touch a button on the screen, providing that missing link with touchscreen devices, feedback.
This rumor has been bouncing around for a while, but it looks like it is fleshing out to be true, there may in fact be a 15.4" MacBook in the works. The other part of the rumor is that the pricing will be quite aggressive, not much more than the 13" models.

iColor have a kit available to change the color the logo on your Apple laptop, the kits are very reasonable, only $3.99 each. It sounds like for some models may be a bit tough to install, and may or may not void your warranty, so tread carefully.
