Well, we got talking about weird alarm clocks at work today, so I decided I would kind of do a round up of the ones I can find, so there will be a bunch here in a row, bare with me if alarm clocks bore you...

The Puzzle alarm clock goes with the idea that making you use logic combined with rooting around on your hands and knees will wake you up. When the alarm goes off, four puzzle pieces are ejected from the top of the clock, and you are required to put them back in for it to shut off. Knowing my luck the cat would probably run off with one and I would have to resort to the other way to turn it off... a big hammer.

well the Sonic Bomb SBB500ss alarm clock is intended for the hard of hearing, but it also seems that there are a lot of other people out there having trouble pouring themselves out of bed in the morning, and this might just do the trick! The SBB500ss has an eardrum shattering 113db alarm, as well as a "Powerful 12V bed shaker" to shake you right out of bed.

Well this is not all that new, I forgot to mention it before, the DangerBomb alarm clock requires you to connect the wires in order to wake you up. I have heard that performing manual tasks will help you wake up, but setting up the bomb? that's just a bit silly.

In my never ending quest to find a cool alarm clock I stumbled upon this entry from Timex, the TM800 features an SD card slot and says that it will allow thumb drives, so I guess that means it has a USB port, but who knows... there is no price for the radio, and no info on the manufacture's website, but it looks very interesting.

In my never ending quest for a better alarm clock, I came upon this little number, the XtremeMac Luna, it seems to mostly be CGI for now, but promises to drop Dec. 18th for $150 US bones.

Now this isn't brand new info, the aXbo alarm clock has been around for a while, but it has finally been released. The Alarm clock monitors you and calulates when is the best time to wake you, when you are in a light sleep. As mentioned before I am looking for a new alarm clock, so this might be something to look at.

Now this is cool, I have been looking for a replacement for my tired old alarm clock for a while, something with a bit of style, and this is definitely a winner. The i.Dream is an iPod dock with speakers, fake tubes, alarm clock functions, and retails for $140.
