Olympus has announced the specs for the new SP-550 UZ, which boasts an incredible 18x optical zoom. The camera is a 7.1 megapixel shooter, with Dual Image Stabilization and the ability to take burst shots up to 15 frames per second. It's nice to see a camera company focusing on upgrading the quality of the features of their cameras, rather than just uping the megapixel count.

HasselBlad recently took the wraps off of another impressive DSLR camera, the H3D-31. This 31 megapixel monster has a per picture time of a crazy 1.2 seconds, but I guess most of the people using this camera will be using it in a studio situation. The camera retails for $24,999, so you better unfreeze that platinum card.
The Ricoh 500SE has a GPS chip built in, allowing you to make a record of where your pictures were taken. You will also get GPS track log capability, GPS lock, and the ability to transfer images wirelessly to other handheld devices through Bluetooth or WiFi. I guess you have to leave the basement to take full advantage of these features...
Here is a review of the Samsung NV3 Digital camera, which also doubles as a PMP for all your listening and watching needs. The 7.2 megapixel camera looks pretty nice, but as a PMP it seems that a larger amount of memory is needed, as it comes with 15mb of built in memory (why bother?) and an available memory slot.
Wow, this is one nice looking camera, 12mp, and a host of other high end features that make it very lust worthy!

These devices appear to be pretty sparse on features, just basically a photo viewer. At this size and cost, a laptop would probably be a better idea.
