Cowon has released details on their new Q5, and wow!! It sports a 5" screen, contains an AMD Alchemy 500MHz CPU, and is using Windows Professional 5.0 as an OS. Amazingly, they managed to squeeze a T-DMB tuner for portable TV, WiFi connectivity, electronic dictionary, Office file viewer, a TV recorder, USB connectivity, FM radio, and to top it all off, GPS navigation! It will have a claimed battery life of 13 hours of music playback, and 6 hours of video playback, so even if it is 75% of that, it will be pretty impressive. The Q5 will be available in two sizes, 40 and 60GB versions, no pricing was announced, hopefully it wont be too much, I want one.
Engadget has some shots of the upcoming Internet Tablet from Nokia, the 870. The shots are predictably blurry, but they do provide enough tidbits to wet the appetite.

With memory getting smaller and smaller, it is allowing electronics designers to reduce the overall size of their devices, case in point the new Cowon D2, sporting a 2.5" screen, the new PMP is scarcely bigger than that.

Looks like Archos is adding another file format to its line of PMPs, but this time it comes with a price, you will be required to purchase the upgrade for $25 US. My guess is that the licensing fee is more than the figured, and are passing the cost onto the comsumer, with the a built in file support already pretty good, I don't really see the need, I wonder how long before someone figures a way to hack this?
Now here is a PMP with some style, the Ainol sports a slick metal looking case, and a landscape view LCD. The player supports AVI / MP4 video playback at 30 frames per second, as well as MP3, WMA, and FLAC audio formats, and also supports an emulator built in, allowing you to play those classic games on the go. The unit features 512MB / 1GB of internal storage, and an SD allowing for for more storage.
